5 TYPES OF LOVE LANGUAGES...

A very special friend of Mine, Michelle Weers asked me this question on the bus on our way to tutoring our pri sch kid last Thursday..."What do you want for your 21st Birthday this year?" I answered her that I don't expect much and in fact didn't even think of it...I just wish that my family will be blessed and that my dad's business will be good. Grandma's weak legs will be healed, getting good GPA and all is well for my beloved family and friends(: That is all I wish for my Birthday(: I know these are very simple wishes, but they really meant a lot to me(:
Weers made a few comments about it and then she shared with me this...5 TYPES OF LOVE LANGUAGES! I find it interesting so I thought of sharing them...

5 TYPES OF LOVE LANGUAGES...<3
1) Receiving Gifts
2) Acts Of Service
3)Words Of Affirmation
4) Physical Touch
5) Quality Time

While reading this, you probably will be wondering..."What is all these?" Alright, so let me tell you what is it about...

                                                    1) RECEIVING GIFTS
*It's basically expecting to receive presents,gifts from friends and families.

2) ACTS OF SERVICE

*Enjoying friend's company, doing things together. Friend's helping you with groceries for example, just a simple acts of service or action will make you appreciate them even more or so.

3) WORDS OF AFFIRMATION

*Love receiving affirmation from people around you, compliments which are pleasant to your ears(:

4) PHYSICAL TOUCH

* Love hugs from family and friends. Makes you feel loved somehow.

5) QUALITY TIME

*Having good-solid time with family and friends. Spending every minute and second wisely and most importantly enjoying your life with your beloved family and friends or your loved ones.

For me, I feel that Quality Time and Physical Touch is for me as to me, gifts are not that important as both of these! For Acts Of Service is important as well , just that for me, I actually realize I did most of it to my friends and family as I always accompany them to do things rather than they accompany me. As for Words Of Affirmation, I feel that it's rather nice to receive compliments from people. But it's just that it's just so not me...coz I find it kind of weird as in maybe I'm not used to it. When people tell me nice things or compliment me, I will have the habit shrugging them off as if they were nothing which I feel really bad about it sometimes. 

I actually use this application in FB..."Message From GOD" and I got a msg on January 19 stating: "...when people tell you nice things, stop shrugging them off as if they were nothing. The sincere compliments you receive are your jewels,-collect them in your heart, - they highlight the beauty of your being and empower you during challenging times. Never say 'Oh, it's nothing' or shrug your shoulders when you hear a sincere compliment. Pause, breathe it in, and really feel its meaning." Seems like I have to try taking in compliments...

 

SO...QUALITY TIME & PHYSICAL TOUCH is for me...

I personally enjoy spending time with my family and friends and my parents are fine with my friends too...in fact they love to see who are the friends I actually hang out with so that they are sure that I mix with the right group of people. Sometimes they will even ask my friends along for dinner as well. I love my family and the way they brought me up as well. I am really blessed to have them and that's all I can say. 

For Physical touch, I love being hugged by my friends as well as my family. I felt loved this way...probably coz it's like a form of habit being build during my secondary school days...everyone were sisters and we were very close(: Until now whenever I meet up with my secondary school mate, we will still hug one other as a form of greeting(:

My Resolutions for 2011(:

The first person who asked "WHAT IS YOUR RESOLUTION THIS YEAR?" is my pri sch mate, Kenny(: I think he asked me this qn on his Birthday...lol...when we got home and was online...he ask me that. I have no idea at that point of time and didn't really give much thoughts on it. The second person who asked the exact same qn was my cell group leader, John(: While waiting for my bus at the bus stop on a New Year morning at 6am plus, after spending the whole entire night with REI, JAZ & SILAS chatting and watching movie on John's lappy, he asked me that...I'm like thinking "Hmm...this is so familiar! Someone ask me the same qn before too! And it's Kenny! lol..." and I didn't know how to answer to him too. I told John I have no idea...and he said that I should know the answer by now. I'm like...ok...so I went home, while creating N504 outing- karaoke event, I gave some thoughts too...think deeply like what shall I do this year, what to achieve and so on...there are so many thoughts flowing in...and YES! I got the answer and I know what to do(:

My resolution for 2011:

-I'm gonna spend more time with my family. If possible, prepare dinner for them(:
-I'm gonna catch up with my pri sch mate & sec sch mate as usual(:
-Gonna focus on my studies! Study smart(: Not just working hard! hahaz...get good GPA(:
-Gonna draw closer to GOD...shine for HIM(:
-My dream is to be a CGL like Huahui & John...(I need years to work on this though)
-Next dream is to serve choir ministry
-Gonna find a part-time job & have a financial breakthrough...don't wanna rely on my parents too much! Gotta learn to be independent!
-Hoping to realize my dreams...I love drawing, designing...thought of designing and making some products that I already have in mind...gotta work this out during my February holiday...and maybe starting on a lil business once I have enough capital.
*These are the resolution so far...there might be more...*

Great Kick-Start of the Year 2011(:

 N504 had thanksgiving at Gerald's place having pot-luck party...followed by counting down at Mich Toh's condo...welcoming Year 2011 and also watching fireworks...the fireworks weren't that nice but I love the bonding of the AWESOME ppl in N504(: We had loads of fun taking pics, jump-shots too(: hahaz...

 These are the chicken wings that I prepared for the pot-luck(: & it's my 2nd time in my entire life frying this...so pardon me for those who ate! LOL...it turns out kinda successful though I think...but I find it salty! hahaz...sorry guys!

Anyway John was so sweet...he got everyone a lil gift for thanksgiving(: It's a lil Memo Pad with colourful sheets of papers in it(: Yay!!! I totally love it(: I'm gonna make full use of it(: Seems like I have 2 notebook to write the Word Of The Day from GOD...hahaz...my very own cute notebook and Memo Pad given by John(: I'm so gonna write everyday...anyway N504 also gave John all of our "LOVE LETTERS" hahaz...sincerely from our heart(: He's a really great leader who did so much for us and I appreciated and feel so blessed to be part of N504(:

 WOOHOO...I <3 THESE PICS...having soo much fun!!!

Once the fireworks end, had a lil bit of fun and then all of us make a move...majority went home except for John, Jaz , Rei , Silas & I...we took the last train but it only stops at AMK...both John & I wanted to take a cab home, but the rest of them ask us to join them...so in the end all of us end up in Macdonald eating, chatting throughout the entire night...all about primary, secondary sch days to Silas's army days...so interesting...the conversation doesn't seem to end...hahaz...loads of things to talk and laugh about! There's super epic moments during the chat too...ok that I shall not elaborate...only the 5 of us knows:x LOL...we watched the movie called "RED". It's an action movie...very nice!!!

John, Rei & I took the first bus at 5.45am...was really tired...hahaz...until when we make our way to the interchange, I saw a cat on the pathway and I mistook it as a kitten...omg and this shows that my brain is totally switched off...until I can't differentiate the difference between a cat and a kitten...but I believe that it's my tired eyes that were playing tricks as well...the bus arrived...plan to sleep on the bus throughout on our way home...but after John shared a video on youtube and he continue to talk to me...trying to keep me awake...-.-!! hahaz...& good thing is we didn't sleep on the bus if not when we wake up...I wonder which stop we will be at...lol...Anyway I had a great new year with my beloved friends(:

Post-Christmas Gathering with RP Life-saving's peeps(:

 

Before going to HH's house, walked out to NTUC to buy groceries for tmr's pot-luck party(: OMG...my hand almost broke...so heavy! Seriously, not trying to exaggerate. Bought 5 bottles of soft drinks for HH's gathering...and then the rest are for pot-luck! Carried like 6 plastic bags full...wanna walk home actually, but I can't take it anymore, so I took a bus home! hahaz...both my hands were super red...lol...anyway thinking of doing it for my friends, it's all worth it(:

Had fun at HH's condo today(: I reached late...so BBQ was over...but they were very nice as they did prepare food for us...some were BBQ and some were microwaved...so many Prawns...my favourite(: There's even Crayfish too(: Teehee...we played card games followed by exchanging Christmas gifts(: It's chosen in a random  mode and I got my gift from Cass(: A very lovely green Ear-piece! My favourite colour(: YAY!!! Now I have an extra Ear-piece(: In case the one I'm using is spoilt, I can use the green one(:

hahaz...they played "BANG" card game and I dunno how to play so I just watched(: Derek taught me and I observed...anyway the game I only played is UNO(: Fun! YAY!!! 2011 is approaching!!! (:

Hey ppl it's like 3 more days to year 2011!!! Are you guys as excited as I am to welcome Year 2011? I believe that Year 2010 have been a good one right? If not? Do not despair as Year 2011 will be a better one(: "Always look on the bright side of life!" *whistling in the background* :x

Anyway I'm real excited...coz I will be Year 2 soon...and my 1 mth hols is finally here soon!!! Yippee(: This whole week have been a good and busy one for me too...things to be done...and guess what? I have like 3 gatherings in this week...isn't that great? Firstly gotta fellowship with CHC friends from the other polys during the Combined Poly BBQ Gathering yst at City Square Residence Condo, which happens to be one of my bestie's condo where we always gym and swim there...hahaz...swam yst as well(: Tmr I will be having BBQ Post-Christmas gathering at my Life-saving friend's condo and after that going to Night Safari in the evening with my sec sch classmates(: Gonna see my usual cliques...Genia, Steph and Mazin(: The rest not going...):

I simply can't wait for Friday!!! Friday is my favourite day where I get to see my CG friends(: Yay!!! We gonna have a simple pot-luck party and also gonna count down, welcoming Year 2011(: It will be the enjoyable day as usual as I already mentioned...Friday is my favourite day(: Besides that, SAT is my favourite day too(: Teehee...I'm sure all of us will have a great time tgt(:

Thinking of Year 2011 approaching, I'm kinda sad coz my bestie, Weers gonna graduate from RP soon and I won't get to see her that often): But thinking of the happy stuff, in Year 2, I will be having loads of fun in sch!!! Like more fun...hahaz...coz all the activities gonna start! I can't wait for it...and my heart is racing whenever my seniors tell me how fun it will be in Year 2(: YAY!!! Gonna go for Adventure, roaming throughout the world, encountering things we never tried before(: I wanna go water-rafting!!! Sounds cool isn't it! Yes it is!!! My course is so cool!!! I love DOAL!!! (Diploma in Outdoor & Adventure Learning)

Lastly not forgetting GOD of course(: I wanna thank him for everything in 2010...pleasant or unpleasant things that I have faced...making me a stronger person! I'm really glad that I get to know HIM again...HE is great and will always be(: I'm also glad that he gave me the best gifts in my life...good friends whom are there for me throughout everything...my 2 great leaders,N504,N493,my sec sch friends and so on...who are there for me, to spur me on , giving me guidance, concern...my life was better after knowing them...I no longer bottle up stuff...I will dare to share it with them...coz they are like my family(: Thank GOD for everything(: I'm a blessed girl(:
